If we could just solve note retrieval, who cares about organizing? I want to make a note when I find out something useful, and I want to retrieve that note when I need the information (or when I find out more, so I can amend the note). Organization seems orthogonal to that desire.

Solving retrieval was Evernote's original idea, and then they became enterprise spaghetti instead.
