Fallen off the homepage so what? I genuinely don't understand

So he is posting it again because he believes it is crucial information for us.

Apparently the crowd agrees because they keep upvoting these.

Gotta double-dip on those internet points.

I got a max account during this promotion and it's been very fun but I'm a little burned out and am kind of looking forward to going back and tinkering with game engines without the help of an LLM for code gen (will still use it for documentation questions but I can do that with the free tier)

For fun/side stuff, handwritten code makes total sense, if you’re burnt out.

For anything that makes money, it feels like a huge step down in productivity, even with the downsides of agent-assisted code.

Oh yes I still use it at work.

The max account is for home projects where I'm basically making some common tools but tailored to myself (diet tracker, note app etc).

It's been great but across work and home it's just too much.

I too have the same experience with LLM generated code. I just get burnt out reading it and all the verbosity it has. I eventually gave up reading through it and keep it as a archive of previous work, while handwriting the code. If I get stuck somewhere, I asked the agent to generate a snippet based on my archived code and what i need to achieve and manually copy paste it.

I wish inline completions would have gotten better but it seems no effort is being put into it and it is frozen in time right now. Thankfully, the stuff i use this code for is simple and small scale. I can’t even begin to imagine how actual programmers are feeling about this.

Glad to see this comment as this has generally been my experience as well. I'm really curious to see why it's so infuriating for others. My best guess is I'm using it more conservatively than most other users in this thread.

I dare say LLMs were one of the things that finally pushed me over the top to be a full time Linux user. For a lifetime Windows user Linux novice like me they really helped me get unblocked on basic stuff like installing Nvidia drivers and setting up a samba share.

Anecdotally it does seem to be the case in my experience with extended family.

I've had this too on my personal pro plan and also when I run the usage command it says it's resetting tomorrow rather than getting cut off.

I'm trying to squeeze what I can in the meantime but I feel like they said it was getting cut off multiple times and they keep extending and possibly resetting it (havent been looking close enough to know for sure)

No, they've been clear about the fact that Fable is staying in indefinitely now.

They also extended the 50% extra usage thing through to August 19.

Looks like no Fable for Pro. Will likely be cancelling my Pro account.

They had an issue yesterday that said Fable needed extra usage.

I’m guessing they’re getting ready.

I think the person you are replying to was referring to Gary tan

I've moved to Joplin and am pretty happy with it. Was easy to self host on my WebDAV.

I believe it imports Evernote data too.

Honestly I can't tell the difference with LinkedIn. Feels the same as it's ever been

Thanks for the insight. Do you think something like nebula could ever be feasible?
