Alienware laptops have a luxurious key travel distance, unfortunately they are also huge. Thinkpads, even the most basic have great keyboards (usually), see also high-end HP. Xiaomi has some macbook pro clones that are very good as well as some of their own designs.
If you want to try them out, I'd recommend a Microsoft store if you have one around. Lots of high-end laptop keyboards are represented there.
I quite enjoy the keyboard on my ThinkPad X1, especially compared to my MBP keyboard. I could say the opposite about the touch pad, but that wasn't the question.
The Witness is a fantastic game, and while all the puzzles are drawing a line on a screen, without getting into spoilers, they have a great deal more variety than you might think.
That said, unlike the magical-realism of Myst and Riven's lived-in locations, the island of The Witness is impressionistic: It's not supposed to feel like a real place, only a kind of 3-d painting filled with relaxing and thought-provoking details, and coincidences to notice. So it might not be your cup of tea.
I went to a (very small, very odd) college which took the other route: all participants in the class - teachers and students - addressed each other as Mr. or Ms. <family name>.
