I think VS Code supports running a local model in Copilot but I am not sure if you still need to pay the subscription if you are going to use it with a local model. But I definitely remember using copilot with devstral than the latter came out a year or so ago
Hardware generally isn't allowed outside of lockdowns. There are things you can do with dev fused hardware to remotely control it which make life easier. But most devs just come into the office since being there in person is nicer.
I remember building dylibs in Swift for use in C programs, had to use @cdecl annotation iirc to achieve that, which was experimental. Good to see it's finally official
Yeah, I expected some gigantic writeup about tricking it into thinking all other systems are connected to it but maybe it's made this way so it's easier to repair without needing the whole car
