Bill gates is talking about it, NYT just ran a bunch articles on AI safety concerns, a reporter just asked Trump about it in a one on one.

Feels unfair to still dismiss it as a cult LessWrong thing at this point.

because we already have actual medication that does that in a controllable and well-characterized way

If someone didn't care enough to write it, why should anyone else care enough to read it?

Seems like important knowledge for anyone who enjoys terrestrial astronomy or visiting dark sky areas. Despite what we were told on TV, they can in fact take the sky from you.
