That’s what I’ve been working on for the last few years: https://palacms.com (MIT) Not ready to announce the V3 RC yet (need to fill out the starter sites) but it’s working well if you wanna give it a spin - runs & deploys on Railway’s free tier.

Looks useful! But fyi “Get started for free” (implying free for now) without a pricing page is a big turnoff imo

I don’t buy psy-ops unless it’s American-made

Even without believing in a life after this one, a lot of people seem to find immense value in living ethically/morally for its benefits in this life: a clear conscience, building trust, strengthening relationships, etc.

Even though life can be cruel, there seems to be an overarching goodness built into the universe that benefits those who float in its current.

Idk I think most of it comes from the food

Youll struggle to get the rda from diet alone unless you eat daily fish.

Surely they meant that the malaise comes from the British food…

English food tends to be better at home than at restaurants. Also, it tends to mostly be undefined brown lumps but it does have flavor and there are some spices. (mostly mustard)

The exception is "Chinese takeaway", which is actually as bad as the stereotype.

Well there is a growing Indian population so that might skew the statistics on home cooking lol.

Anecdotally, by far the worst home cooking I’ve had was at the hands of a British couple; tasted like simmered dish water.

There's actually an Orwell essay about this.

The thing I find odd about British restaurants is that all the Japanese chains (Wagamama, Itsu) have names that are so dumb it's like they're actively trying to be offensive.

As a conversational point, I do recall reading an article sometime ago about people moving to the UK from sunnier places, and then suffering from Vitamin D deficiency!

At least in the case of stock, it’s possible they can’t sell it to pay the tax

That seems like a buyer beware situation. Nobody forced them to invest money in it, and if they lose out in the end that is the risk they take, the same with any other investment. You can't buy a piece of commercial property and not pay any taxes, or start a business and then claw back taxes you already paid because it failed later on down the road.

Would you only apply this to stocks acquired after the new tax law was passed then?

It would probably need a grace period so things don't go crazy, but after that then yes. It would also have the benefit of pumping stocks being lower and more risky, and could help prevent stock bubbles from rising so big and fast.

That is typically the case (depending on the timeline) for all but publicly traded or relatively sought out/well known private firms. Even for many of those, it’s not going to be easy.

You can’t just go out and start selling stock to the public without a huge amount of legal paperwork.

Maybe that could result in a free tier? If the numbers work out

Not to mention the injections, slapping, and isolation in a room with other screaming newborns!

Yeah Suno is crazy. I hummed a melody that came to mind and it materialized it into a full band-backed song. Wasn’t random either, followed the lyrics I typed and built on the melody. I’m convinced Spotify is gonna be 80% AI music within two years.

I feel like that’s a different type of ADD or something. My wife has that type, so if she’s on her phone or focused on something I almost have to shake her to get her attention, whereas I’m very much the opposite (hard to focus on anything). Makes it hard to watch a series together bc she always wants to binge the whole thing in one sitting and I can never watch more than two episodes at a time.
