And morality and their conscientiousness (what a word).

If you look at the map of Europe, lay it over with that fiscal discipline and above, there is no mystery how things like income are spread out across the map, it all makes sense. Also a good confirmation that well regulated but proper capitalism is the easiest path for any country to long term prosperity.

Care to back up your outlandish claims? I live here for 15 years and all you write is completely untrue for everything I ever experienced, saw, heard or read. Or you mean some case from early 70s?

@mods this is unacceptable behavior (but such threads are full of this), blind fanatics on both sides

Flag and move on (if you can, I feel your frustration). @mods does not notify anyone.

International pressure when US is shielding and blocking literally any move against means effectively nothing. Sure, you or me can say we will for example never buy products from Israel but thats about it.

And such move will not change anything in this behavior just make some israeli farmer (maybe still employing some palestinians/arabs) lose some income.

This is in line with decades of behavior of cia et al on all fronts in all parts of the world.

Thats not argument for anything in this topic. The choice was never binary and it seems you don't understand the discussion.

That illuminati mumbo jumbo part doesn't deserve a comment.

You clearly have no kids

I know literally nobody panicking from some idea of terrorist attack against airplane, this is not a thing in Europe. Neither my old parents, neither any of my colleagues etc. Its not 2001 anymore and even back then we were mostly chill.

But I can claim one thing for sure - people hate security checks with passion.

Price of water from water fountain (to be found on basically any western airport and most non-western I've ever been to) - 0.

I get your approach, but say where we live (Switzerland) if you have something not tightly around your body like a fleece jacket, you have to take it off and put it through scanner, this is default. Sometimes they still ask me to go down to t-shirt even if its obvious I don't have anything in pockets.

Not worth the hassle for something that is mostly free and probably healthier compared to plastic bottles stored god knows where and how long. I'd imagine if they catch you, you are going for more detailed inspection since its obvious you didn't forget 1kg bottle in clothing you wear by accident.

This is only the issue if you are a city dweller and want to spend your whole life there. For rural folks this is actually best possible situation.

The pollution always goes somewhere, and its not like we have large swaths of useless places that we can pollute without consequences.

Huh, no. Pollution close to humans is bad for both city and rural people.

> The pollution always goes somewhere,

"The solution to pollution is dilution". We want the concentration of pollution low, so the health effects are low too, and we can give natural processes the time to decay/oxidize/etc the pollutants.

> not like we have large swaths of useless places

We do... we mostly care about the lower ~100 meters of atmosphere because that's where people live. That's less than 1% of the total atmosphere. This means we can distribute pollution over a volume a 100x larger than that that is important for us. And then I'm not even counting the vast amount of the planet that's uninhabited / non-land.

Also, smokestacks are designed to not directly pollute the air close to people, see:
