I was just asking myself this question, so I googled the question and here I am :D I think the reason is the advertising. Pieter built cult like following, he has 600k+ subs on twitter, so "AI" startups see it as a good advertisment opportunity. There is also too much money betting on these startups, so 30k is peanuts for them. Just the other day I read about a guy that discovered a remote code execution vulnerability in Todesktop's CD app. Todesktop awarded hacker with only 5k$. Once news got out, Cursor (AI startup) awarded the hacker 50k$. Peanuts.

$50k to thank a helpful hacker seems reasonable when you were just given another $100+ million.

I never tried psychedelic drugs, but had a NDE like experience before. People who took heroic doses of psychadelics reported similar experiences as people who had an NDE.

What is interesting is that brain activity is severly reduced in these states. So it could be that taking large doses of these drugs could in a way "simulate" the process of dying.

I had an out of body experience, floating just below ceiling and seeing myself in bed. Being lighter than a feather. Window was slightly opened and i could feel the outside breeze trying to pull me out, at that point i got scared and put all my strength into falling back in my body. Years later I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. Maybe my oxygen levels dropped significantly and i almost left for good.

Surely you do not want to experience EVERYTHING. It's better to not exist than to experience all the dark things in life. Although, according to my onthological beliefs it's not possible to not exist and therefore I do fear death, not just the process of dying , but death itself. Because there is some uncertainty there.

He is one of the best Diablo players in the world. You gotta respect that /s

Have you tried OnlyFans ?

Is GPP relevant if you don't want to do OOP ?

The solution is blockchain! /s

I'd be surprised if they hold 20% of non-crypto assets.

I installed NixOS and went down into that black hole.

Tell me more. What was your use-case for installing NixOS? I’ve been thinking about putting together a new media server and saw a recommendation to try NixOS. (I’ve previously used Unraid). That was a couple weeks ago, and it was the first time I’d heard about it

My use-case for NixOS : Got tired of breaking Arch and never ever wanted to solve package dependencies issues again, so I installed it on my workstation laptop.

I havent tried it yet for home server stuff. I am still running containers on a Proxmox host.

Nix documentation is bad/incomplete, so I helped myself with some Youtube videos to get started.

This might get you started https://jvns.ca/blog/2024/01/01/some-notes-on-nixos/
