Thanks for the feedback! Re: ambiguity / cross-functional roles: very good point, you're absolutely right about the usefulness of some sort of role blend indicator. I think there's enough data to work on that. Definitely something I'll look into.

Your input as a technical job seeker is very helpful too, gave me a couple of ideas...

Cheers

Hello everyone. I work as a researcher for startups and other companies, and I know how many people struggle to come up with new business ideas. I believe there are still many problems to tackle; we just need to look closer.

So, to help everyone interested in starting a company (and also expand my coding skills and understand how to use generative AI), I built Big Startup Ideas, a database of business ideas for real-world problems. The backend AI-based app uses real-world data (economic, market, and consumer behavior coming from online sources) to generate the business ideas.

This is it: https://bigstartupideas.com

It took some time to develop and improve data gathering, but it is still quite basic (it was mostly the learning curve). The app is a gpt wrapper in part, but it has its own set of rules to identify problems and produce ideas more systematically.

The database is free to browse, and there is an ebook with a curated set of ideas for just a few bucks. But it's still a side project.

I appreciate your comments and hope you find at least one idea that inspires you!

It'd be more interesting if it was a pay-per-use pricing model, e.g.: $0 the first n calls (to try the service, even if it's for commercial purposes) and then $0.0016 per call of whatever you want to charge

Thanks for your feedback. Having trouble with Firefox? Something specific?

I'm late to the party but do you have tips for adding pages quickly on mobile? The boomark I created in the desktop Chrome client either isn't syncing or isn't available in mobile Chrome (Android).

Thanks for the feedback! The bookmarklet should actually work on both desktop and mobile. Please consider that bookmarking on Chrome (Android) requires you to type the name you used when creating the bookmarklet into the browser's address bar to bookmark a web page. You may want to reach out directly: k at klobie.com if it still gives you a hard time.

Thanks! A connection with Google search does sound interesting! I'll look into it. Feel free to contact me directly if you try the app and have questions.

Thanks for sharing these!

Hey thanks for asking. That's not an option though, at least for now :) But do let me know if there is any other feature that could help with tagging in the meantime!

Hey sorry for this, the bug was fixed already, please go ahead and try it :)

Thanks for reporting!
