Where are the options for never wanting to apply before and continue to not want to apply now? "Other" option doesn't fit.

Why doesn't other fit? How can there be anything that isn't covered by other?

Can't see why I'd need a service to implement something basic like this?

I agree with bobds. It's retarded to worry about scrapers. You're better off focusing on doing your own thing. Large sites get scrapped and cloned all the time. At the end of the day, it's better to be focused on what you do rather than the clones.

languages and db experience?

I thought about adding that but didn't want to emphasize one technology stack over another, at least not on the one-pager.

That being said: PHP, Ruby, some Python; Mysql, Postgres, Mongo.

In addition to what steveklabnik said, it's also nice that you can integrate all of the Google App services into your system and quickly and conveniently work online and share things via Docs and Calendar by company domain. It makes it super convenient. While there are some certains on privacy, I don't feel the threat outweighs the benefit. It's not like Google is sniffing around to know what you do via your personal email and stuff. They are using that data to target ads. And to be honest, that doesn't matter to me as much.

I hope you seriously meant 2011 lol

Hah, updated.

90s

Palm founded in 1992. Apple offers to buy for $1Bn in 2002? Average of $100M per year in business...

Palm sells to HP in 2010 for $1.2Bn. 1Bn in first 10 years and only $200M in the 8 years that followed? Wow. Should have sold in 2002!

I assume people with a stake in Palm are now not so happy now about not having sold to Apple. I wonder how that would have worked out, though.

From my memory of what Palm devices were like then and seeing what's happened since, IMHO Apple dodged a bullet there. Palm was an overvalued, overhyped company with a product line that was already hitting technical limits due to design ties to a too-slow processor and too-small screen, and one that's spent all the time since fighting to stay up-to-date and relevant.

OT - a bit of checking a while back revealed that the larger current Smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S are roughly the same footprint as an old Psion Revo. I never had a Revo but did have a 5Mx and could touch-type on it fast enough to take notes. How I would love to have a phone with a keyboard that good, not the silly little things we get stuck with now.

I have a Palm Pre. Previous Palm devices weren't that great from the little I've used them. WebOS is amazing though. It is, without exaggeration, the best piece of software I've ever used.

Phishing emails would be a good start. I have the same setup as well. It makes more sense to have it forwarded and labeled coming in rather than give away your real email. This way if someone sends you fake mail to your daily use email but its not labeled from one of the secondary accounts you use to actually run your personal stuff, you know it's balony.

Dropbox and Amazon S3. Carbonite and Evernote in lesser use.
