Did you read my own response to this? The feelings should be strong about this! This is exactly what is happening right now inside Github. It is inexcusable.
Assuming that everything you said is true doesn't change the outcome here. You can't post outright slurs to HN, whether others are doing inexcusable things or not. There's no substantive view that demands being expressed that way.
