I think the problem here is to leave decisions about what's good/bad ads to other people (e.g. EasyList). I believe blocking technology itself is a user's right and should be allowed, but deciding what's good/bad for others is meddlesome. Individual users should make their own decisions about what should be blocked and what's not, as easily as possible.
