It's not like a power outage. It's more like a power surge that's somehow crafted to exploit every engineering flaw in every surge protector that well-funded state actors have piled up over the years. We would not recover from that in days.


Not even Google, in all their might and splendour, can reliably deliver software to all the versions of a platform they themselves created.

I find it hard to believe that even the most competent villain will work out a way to hit 10% of the devices out there, let alone everything.


Google doesn't use their client's bandwidth and connectivity to help them.


Is bandwidth really the limiting factor for Google?
