I'm creating a config.inc makefile during make to store config settings, analog to the config.h https://github.com/perl11/potion/blob/master/config.mak#L275

Instead of bloated autotools I also call a config.sh from make to fill some config.inc or config.h values, which even works fine for cross-compiling.
