Even with all these Electron alternatives over the years, I always end up going back to Electron for my projects. My main problem with these alternatives is that they rarely mention what tradeoffs they're making to achieve the their performance gains. Electron is terribly inefficient but it does come with almost everything I need out of the box. The last thing I want is investing weeks into a project with a GUI framework only to encounter a dead end because it's missing a feature that I didn't know I'll need when I started.
Yeah, that's a good point. I should spend a lot of time on that in the README.
Just to help frame me in the right direction, could you let me know what sort of features are super important to you? Or what sort of situations really scare you that it won't be able to work in?
