>across five studies, we vary specific elicitors of disgust, showing that the relations between political orientation and disgust sensitivity depend on the specific set of elicitors used. We also show that disgust sensitivity is not associated with political orientation when measured with an elicitor-unspecific scale. Taken together, our findings suggest that the differences between conservatives and liberals in disgust sensitivity are context dependent rather than a stable personality difference. Broader theoretical implications are discussed.

It's unfortunate but psych and medical things are still effectively pay-walled. If you don't have institutional access then it's basically impossible because you're going to missing out on major conversation.

1. You can request authors reprint in email and they usually send it. This is a common practice most people don't know about.

2. You can use sci-hub. [https://sci-hub.se/] + [DOI of the paper]. For example if the doi is 10.1177/0146167219880191 you do https://sci-hub.se/10.1177/0146167219880191

What?

Edit: I'm not sure if it falls in line with the paper, but I think I am disgusted by the assumption made by the parent comment.

I think he means that a progressive with show disgust if you show them a happy white family with six kids.
