The "pipes" has some better examples - Lucid is a fantastic example.

My own programming language Intonal (https://intonal.io/text) is a practical continuation of Lucids ideas, in the first steps of seeing production use, combined with a "Haskell-lite" type system (control structures, typeclasses, second order functions, custom data types/enums, etc) - Turns out the "pipes" or data flow approach works really well for audio, also turns out there was/is a lot of to figure out about how memory works in such a language.
