I have to admit I absolutely loathe that kind of mouse-cursor-dragging tooltip image. Anything that obscures the very text that I may want to read to decide what to look at next seems crazy to me. You can even see it in the example video, as soon as the overlay shows up you can’t read much of the text in the column it triggered from.
