Interesting, the claim is that it is very high speed (article says ~10Mb/s), I'm not sure how that compares to existing methods (Apple's security docs say they use a bunch of ring oscillators), but I'm also curious what the space efficiency and manufacturing cost would be - traditional MEMS chips seem quite expensive.

Of course it's never bad to have more options in designing physical random sources, at least until we get embedded lava lamps.
