There is this thread booming up around banning of a store on Shopify. While this could be justified because the store owner may have been actually just at fault and not played by the law of the platform. This does point out a more burning issue. As platforms tightly control access, open governance and transparency needs to be just baked in. This includes communicating back to folks who are building on top.
If you're playing on someone else's platform, then you're subject to their Terms and Conditions. It's not your personal sea that you're sailing on, but coasting along someone else's sufferance and caprice.
