Syncthing Stats (syncthing.net)

100k users (who opt in to data collection), well done.

Would be interesting to see IPv4 vs v6 stats.

We really need these pragmatic useful P2P apps to keep the e2e internet working and not degenerate into a netflix optimized NATted star topology.

Unfortunately it's getting to be more like app than apps plural.

SyncThing and very occasionally BitTorrent for Linux ISOs are the only ones I use.

I could imagine using Jami, if I could get it to work reliably, or Tox, if I knew anyone on Tox.

In general it's pretty dismal though. I rarely see anything particularly interested in P2P or self hosted.

Any ideas for what the next big P2P app could be?

Well, video calls (WebRTC) is pretty big too. But yep, more mainstream uses would be good.

Well, WebRTC doesn't really scale well for p2p video calls, add IP address leaks and most conferencing apps I am aware of use WebRTC in a server-client model to get around these issues.
