I thought this was one the most interesting talks given at HotChips the year when it was presented. I also think when people post about it here and over at Reddit or Real World Tech there's a lot of pointless hand wringing about how terrible VLIW was back in the day.

I think this post warrants a second chance at discussion. If only for the claims about the processor itself. @dang <- does that work?
