Proton Stealth Protocol: Defeat censorship with Stealth, our new VPN protocol (protonvpn.com)

fascinating: https://sourcegraph.com/search?q=context:global+repo:%5Egith... implies it's "Wireguard over TLS" which unfortunately seems to have existing precedent: https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=wireguard+tls&ia=web

Anyway, it sure is misleading to say "We designed our Stealth protocol from the ground up to not have these issues." when it appears to be standing on the shoulders of Wireguard. I'm glad they didn't roll their on VPN protocol quite literally from scratch, because "don't roll your own crypto," but this messaging could do with some clarity (and a less SEO opaque name, IMHO)

Is proton actually a good provider? What else is good besides Mullvad? It seems proton has some nifty features - are they unique?

Proton (company) simply feels like a scam/forprofit (over?)run by capitalists who by definition aren't incentivized innately to tell the whole story even in the unlikely scenario where they are incentivized to do so.
