Does Waydroid still work with modern kernels? I've recently tried to run Anbox on Arch with Linux 6 and the necessary kernel modules caused crashes and kernel panics on boot.
I made the mistake of buying Nvidia hardware so Wayland is incredibly unstable for me, but perhaps it's worth investigating how to get Wayland working well if Waydroid works better than Anbox.
I have used it on the last linux 5 kernel and it was working smoothly with an AMD GPU. I can't say much about nvidia. On arch you can install a custom kernel with the modules needed compiled and in known working state from the linux-zen package.
