Ask HN: Reconstituting scans from video of bendy pages?
1 point by swsieber on Jan 14, 2023 | hide | past | favorite | 1 comment
I'm wondering of there's a way to get perfect images from a video of paging through a book. It seems like it'd be possible, but most stuff is about simple deskew and not about stitching multiple images together to be more accurate.

Is there anything I should be searching for to find solutions to stuff like this?

Ishikawa had SOTA a decade ago with their page-flipping, high-speed video scanner: http://ishikawa-vision.org/vision/BFS/index-e.html
