To be clear, this statement was a lie. They added the "long-standing policy" today, retroactively. https://www.engadget.com/twitter-new-developer-terms-ban-thi...

(Musk also promised a vote on major policy changes. https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1604616863673208832)

Musk also promised to step down based on a majority poll. What ever happened to this happening?

> Musk also promised to step down based on a majority poll

After saying he would be stepping back from Twitter in short order under oath in the Tesla shareholder lawsuit.

But a Musk promise only being delivered long after the initially-stated timeframe, if ever, is hardly abnormal.

One of his conditions is whoever takes the CEO spot has to invest their entire life savings into it. I doubt Musk will find many worthwhile candidates willing to make their entire financial life subject to his impulsive behavior.

He was either a) trolling the haters, or b) still intends to step down when they find a suitable CEO to replace him.

it might be and you just don't know yet. these things take time.

Of course. One day, he will step down. and then he will be fulfilling the promise.

When the company finally auctions off it's last real asset (it's name) .. then he will resign from the ash-heap he created.

true executive searches take months, not days.
