Isn't it [still] rather useless to compare US wages vs other countries? I mean, I'd probably be on a huge income if it didn't just cost me €90 (ninety euro) for a 6 day stint in hospital. Let alone the drugs, sleep meds, replacement for my regular chems, etc. Plus, a 6x 2x a week physio course after - €35 for 12x50 min courses. At this rate , with just a couple of car crashes and an accident at work, I'd be a millionaire no time. In America.


UK real wages have been declining for years. I promise Americans are actually significantly wealthier and higher paid than British people, and FAANG workers have good healthcare.


Even accounting for healthcare, US software developers are far better paid than anywhere else. I think the UK is maybe the next best paid and it's still only 50-70% of the US.
