quiet working area, looser dress code, flex hours.

but asking for anything makes you a target. working remote/hybrid has been a game changer for me becuz I can just do my own thing without anybody getting weirded out

Can you say a little more about this? For example, if your performance was suffering without those accommodations would you be more of a target?

I'm thinking about accommodations and was wondering what others asked for so I don't ask for too much, or miss something if my self-reflection isn't good.


its a cuttroat industry and part of becoming a senior technologist is learning to succeed in situations where things are not ideal. it's a fine line when to ask, and when to just deal with it. good luck!
