at this point in time, if you give your private details to anyone, it seems you should expect that data to end up in the wrong hands.

There is no valid reason for law enforcement to share details with unrelated persons.

It's just adding insult to injury that it is a private corporation that will financially benefit from those details. It does not benefit the individual in the least.

I can't believe this needs to be said, but in this funhouse-mirror landscape it seems it does: corporations successfully targeting advertising to users is not a human right, it is not a valid reason for violating privacy rules, and it is most certainly NOT a public good or benefit to society in ANY WAY.
