Hey HN!
I've been live streaming most days this past 6 weeks building a lot of Machine Learning/Web Scraping related projects (as well as some react/nodejs projects). Last night I live coded an experiment trying to develop a Junior Developer AI Agent. The scenario is assuming I'm a non-technical founder what sort of interface would I want to use to automate the role of a junior.
In the around 4 hours, I was able to implement the developer duties -> bug fixing (vectorizing the codebase for relevant files according to the manager's problem), writing tests (this works really well), bootstrapping projects given technologies, sizing tickets and giving technical feedback
Overall, a fun experiment. Using the WizardCoder LLM https://huggingface.co/WizardLM/WizardCoder-15B-V1.0. Some of the duties are better than others. I think it's good to get used to the process of automating your work away (if possible) to see how far you can get and if it's actually useful. Better than being caught off guard by the fast-paced AI tooling coming out if anything actually becomes useful.
