Just my rant of the day. Notion's billing is atrocious. If you enable Notion AI, you pay extra for
every single member, and you HAVE to pay extra for every
new member that joins, even if you decide you don't need the AI feature anymore.
What that means: If you just want to enable it to play with it for a month, but you're on a yearly plan, you're locked in to pay for the AI plan (which doubles your cost) for the entire year.
Notion sucked up almost the entirety of my $1000 credits this way on one of my companies, and support refuses to do anything about it because it was enabled more than 1 month ago.
Quick FYI to cash-grabby startups: LLMs might be cool, but a rush job of integrating OpenAI's API doesn't justify ridiculous price hikes like these. When a company's entire toolset pulls shit like this, it's easier to cancel every AI plan and just pay for everyone's chatgpt plus/enterprise plan.
