Are new things being discovered in Pompeii or just new blogspam or AI dreck?

I’ve always found it fascinating and would love to find more comprehensive articles or books on recent discoveries.

I believe about 33% of the city remains unexcavated, which you can also see in this Google Maps view: https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7478244,14.4878554,623a,35y,...

The site is huge. It's two miles square

My favorite Roman graffiti: 8====)

Lest anyone think I'm trolling, I'm not. It's a remarkably well attested motif in Pompeii and elsewhere.

Don’t forget the scales :)

Maybe it was campaign headquarters? They wanted some signs where they gathered to help with esprit de corps.

My favorite Roman graffiti: 'O walls, you have held up so much tedious graffiti that I am amazed that you have not already collapsed in ruin.'

I saw this headline and thought it would be yet another case of some tourist or similar vandalizing a site but it’s talking about election graffiti from the time.

My favorite Roman graffiti is “he who does not believe in Venus should gaze at my girlfriend.”

Yeah, but what about "On april 19th, I made bread"?

See also https://pastebin.com/tKLSWjSt, which is a collection of Pompei graffiti.

Awwww
