Announcement of an announcement?

Yep, of the most informative kind :)

Any speculation? New card? New ASIC? New AGI who's hell bent on destroying its makers?

I was originally thinking of some new card previously leaked [1], but then they said this is about AI. And considering this is in CES with consumer focus. I assume it could be gaming related? May be DLSS 4.0?

Not new cards, at least not consumer grade. They released the 30xx series in 2020, and the 40xx in late 2022, so I'm guessing their 50xx series is at least a year away, according to some rumors, could be early 2025 as well.

But, it says AI advancements, so I won't be surprised if they release enterprise GPUs that are optimized for AI.
