Is there an LLM/ChatGPT based alternative for Google's Voice Assistant on android? I see that as the most appropriate use case. ChatGPT will do many times better than Google Assistant (or may be Siri, not an iPhone user).
Not that I'm aware of, but I've ran LLM's in Termux myself and am pretty it's not a huge leap from there to a simple python scaffold with a restricted grammer (the kind llama supports, for consistant structured output) and a Tasker integration. Hardest part would be trigger-word activation (maybe hardware key-bind is enough fr u?). It would probably run well locally with the all the cumulative speedups over the past year, but I do bet it would drain your battery more than Google Assistant, and am not sure that moving it over the network would change that.
Thanks. I was looking for this. After a bit of search found the gemini app. Installed it and set that as assistant. It is slower bet recognition is definitely better than assistant.

It basically makes making characters you can chat with pretty easy. As in defining their motivations, personalities, etc. Obviously with good prompting you can do this with most LLM-based systems, but they've optimized for this use case.
Get put into these articles without a mention of funding from the publishers of the article? Mentioned five times but I'm not sure I see anything that says they're in the portfolio.
