We don't have enough time to convince them against a whole ecosystem built around false assumptions. But we don't have to either, since we're in position to force them to change their methods. And the reason why we're in this position is because they've fucked up their WP install in the first place.
And even when we do give WP-like ease of editing with background static generation, editors still want WP, because this or that plugin.
