Unrelated, there's a guy who did some gnireenigne on the Sipeed NanoKVM "FLOSS" firmware. Despite it being "open source", it dials home with the serial number to download a serialized .so that does some sort of "DRM"-like magic with undocumented/custom RISC-V instructions. It also promiscuously connects to public DNS and tailscale.
