Not when you have expensive audio gear that requires Windows drivers. And the general state of pro audio and multi-track recording in Linux is pretty bad by comparison.

Reaper works well on Linux. That said, if you're doing serious audio work, most of the audio engineers I know swear by Logic Pro, which is Mac-only.

So should those users switch to a Mac or something else?
