So she overhears a private conversation between friends [none of the talk was directed to or being about anybody in particular], tweets a "summary" without context, adds a photo of the people involved, all in order to publicly shame them, while they did nothing wrong.

No sympathy for her.

Also, her own words are showing signs of insecurity in her side which leads to near destruction of two peoples lives. (her own included).

Also, both companies' responses to these events are overreactions.

I don't think Adria's company really over-reacted; she achieved the opposite of what her job of 'developer evangelist' was all about.

Well, yes you are right about that. I did not know/missed her position at the company. If you are an evangelist you are a frontend of your company, an institution's face where ever publicly speaking.

> No sympathy for her.

She's gone through hell. Why wouldn't you feel sympathy for her, even if you don't like what she did?

I'll talk openly now. After reading what she said in the interview, my visceral reaction was "What a self-righteous bitch, she got what she deserved." Death and rape threaths were over the top though.

Others in this thread have also commented on her interview, and not in a positive light. Her line of thought is indicative of a twisted, insidious person that you want to keep out of your life.

Had she not lived through hell this time, she might have done it (runining another person's life) again.

Also, she's done a disservice to women in tech.

So, no sympathy for her.

Also, if I were Hank, I'd consult with an attorney to see whether she overstepped some privacy laws and pressed charges if tha lawsuit were viable.
