I could certainly be wrong! That said, I don't see Google themselves really committing to such an effort (there are definitely business incentives to do it, but it sounds like a terrible technical burden). There could be third-party products that make it happen, but from my experience they would likely either be expensive or result in a janky product (or both).
I don't see why the same applications couldn't be compiled to run on iOS, like unity or AIR for example.
