The answer is simple, do not use the apps. It's not about comparing competitors. Simply abstain entirely. The gig economy is an exploitation engine.

Tin foil hat time, Google regularly complies with LEO. It's often joked they are an unofficial intelligence agency; peers being CIA, NSA, FBI, etc. Wiz is a foreign-owned company with a detailed vulnerability map of more than 50% of the Fortune 100. It can be argued this is a matter of national security, and not simply business.

Ever use it? Ever use competitor offerings?

In my 20yrs of experience, Wiz is one of the best "off the shelf" cloud security tools you can buy and possibly the best ever made.

I don't work for Wiz, but I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone shopping for a solution off the shelf.

The screenshots make this feel entirely fabricated or entirely marketing motivated.

If it's somehow real, omitting the hudsonrock message would be good sense.

I have mentally black listed this company.

I worked in an AWS + GCP environment. There was a clique of people infatuated by Google. They would exert every effort to cargo cult Google and fail consistently. Their leadership chain also doted on Google so the end result was nothing got done and excuses were made with the promise of Google solutions, one day.

He means people not born into significant privilege

Universally, people I've met and worked with (20-30) hate writing rego (OPA).

I'm always skeptical of Styra's analysis; they are literally selling you something.

AuthZed looks interesting and they have good "ride along" videos in YouTube, e.g. replicating GitHub auth.

Google the item, like so:

itemName ~review reddit

If you're looking at something whose company name is nonsense, e.g. FILBOZE, it's an alibaba reseller/drop-shipper and >50% chance to be garbage.

Legitimate reviews are also becoming harder to find. There are a lot of bots and high ranked searches that interfere with the end user getting the information they need. YouTube reviewers often don't disclose their sponsorships.

Obviously it's not impossible but point is this is getting worse over time not better. Remember that early online stores...

The limitations of HCL are actually a good thing!

I have never seen Pulumi or CDKTF stuff work well. At some point are you simply writing a script and abandoning the advantages of a declarative approach

Right. That's what I'm arguing.

Golly gee wilikers, ya don't say?
